Motivation can help you achieve your goals. Write a letter to yourself about a time when you worked really hard at something and got better at it because you were really motivated. Explain whether your motivation was intrinsic or extrinsic, and provide at least two examples to show how you maintained enough motivation to meet your goals.

My goal was to win (insert type of sport) tournament. My motivation for this was extrinsic because I wanted to win the trophy to display in my room. I stayed motivated by hanging a picture of the trophy where I wanted to put it. This made me work harder so I could eventually put the real trophy there instead. I also stayed motivated by challenging my friends to practice tournaments. When my friends beat me in practice, it made me want to win even more.
