Some single celled organisms make copies of them se lves through mitosis which best describes the function of the cell cycle in such single celled organisms

so basically when mitosis happens the DNA splits in half and goes to different parts of the cell and then the cell slowly gets pulled in half and then everything on the previous cell is on the two cells after mitosis is done but each organism would have half the amount of DNA as the original
