Interest groups have basically three types of objectives when lobbying. An economic goal. Economic groups want monetary benefits for their members. Another interest group focuses on the citizens. They want to change legislation that affects people. Finally, the last interest group can have only one concern and focus their efforts in that only a piece of program or legislation.
