Answer: 2x-3

Explanation:

First expand whatever u've got in brackets.

Then u get

4x - 12 - 2x + 9

then combine like terms.

(4x - 2x) + (-12 + 9)

2x + (-3)

= 2x - 3

Distribute the 4 to the x - 3 to get 4x - 12

4x - 12 - 2x + 9; combine like terms (4x and -2x, -12 and 9)

You're left with 2x - 3
