Explanation:

Mode is the easiest. It means most common. 6 has the highest frequency (occurs 9 times). 6 is therefore the mode.

Median is a bit trickier. It means the middle number. We know that the total of the frequencies is 24. That is an even number. The middle of that is between 12th and 13th results. Both the 12th and 13th results are 6. That means the median is 6. If both weren't the same, we would have to take the average of two numbers.

Average is easy, but takes the longest. To calculate it, we multiply each score(x) by its frequency(f) and and them all together, then divide by the frequency total.

(3x4 + 5x6 + 6x9 + 7x4 + 8x2)/24 = 5.83
