Martin Luther King Jr. helped advance civil rights through non violence in several different ways. His most popular method was through peaceful protests.

MLK was involved in different peaceful acts that showed resistance against the segregation laws that affected America. This included helping to organize the: March on Washington, Montgomery Bus Boycotts, sit-in's, etc. The entire time, MLK stayed consisten with this nonviolent method as he felt that this showed America that African-Americans were worthy and deserved these types of rights.
