Explain what a codon is. Please include "Nucleotides" and "amino acid" in your answer

When the translation process is underway, the RNA uses trna to read 3 sections of bases at a time from the RNA. This was derived from the nucleotides and nitrogenous bases from DNA. These codons are amino acids, and 20 of them string together to form a protein.

I am sorry if some of the information is wrong, as i took biology last year in my 6th grade class
