For this case we have:

Let y the variable that represents the number of miles Samantha walks according to school days (represented by varibale x)

So:

y = \frac {2} {3} x

If we have that samantha walks 5 days, then we substitute
x = 5.

y = \frac {2} {3} (5)\\y = \frac {10} {3}

So, Samantha walks \
\frac {10} {3}miles for 5 days, to go to and from school.

Answer:

\frac {10} {3}
