In addition, there is a considerable risk of oil spillage that can contaminate water, and prevent life in the area for several decades.

Mining has a similar or superior impact to that of oil drilling, since the drilling and use of explosives is greater and the vibrations of the soil affect the animals more, likewise, there is greater contamination of water on the surface and the subsoil.
