Why did the federalist favor ratification​

The federalists believed that changes weren't necessary. They used to argue that the Constitution was definitely great the way it was and nothing needed to change. The Anti-Federalists did accuse the constitution of giving way too much power in the hands of the government, which was not agreed by the Federalists.
