A few weeks ago, Alex bought 10 apple form his local farmers' markets. Today, the number of apples Alex bought was 80% higher. How many apples did he buy today?

He bought 18 apples. What you would do is multiply 10 by 80%, or 0.8, then you have 80% of 10, which is 8. Then you add that to what Alex already bought, 10, and then you have 80% higher. Hope this helps!
