I sat in the back seat of my car looking out the window. I had been dreaming of this moment for weeks. My first puppy! I’d promised my mother that I would take extra care of it. And I was being noble about this. As we pulled in my heart began jumping in my chest. The little Golden Retriever was with his owner on a red leash. As we got out, the dog jumped into my arms as he squirmed and wiggled. My excitement was overwhelmed as I got on my knees and hugged the beloved puppy. I glanced at my mother and back at my dog as I asked “what should we name him??”. “Milo.” MY mother said, crossing her arms as she looked at my father and gleamed a smile. This is the happiest day of my life!
