After Columbus landed in what he believe was India, the europeans and the world “discovered” America. I put that in quotes, because the natives were there long before Columbus. After they rediscovered America, they started trading, living with the natives, etc. The impact is that the Europeans got to America, so now there’s a day called “Columbus day.” I hope this helps!
