When you die intestate you have given the court or state the privilege of determining burial arrangements beneficiary needs divisions of estate to charities guardians of dependents?

When you die "inestate" (aka without a will) state laws will determine how your assets are divided and who they go to. Most arrangement like funeral/burial, etc are handled by family or next-of-kin and state laws will again determine certain arrangements when the deceased person's wishes were not recorded through a will.
