How do incentives affect suppliers in a purely competitive market?

When certain suppliers obtain incentives from the government, the overall cost that those suppliers need to pay to fund their operation would be dramatically reduced. This make them able to bring the cost of their products lower and make them seen favorable by the customers over their competitors. This could help them won the competition
