A circle can be circumscribed around the four vertices of a quadrilateral if and only if,

both pair of opposite angles inscribed in the quadrilateral are supplementary to each other. By supplementary to each other we mean that their sum is equal to 180°.

In this case we have opposite interior angles supplementary to each other hence we can circumscribe a circle around it. Such Quadrilateral are called cyclic quadrilateral.
