Why are fossils important to the theory of evolution

Hello

↪ Fossils show us how many organisms lived in the past (and their structures)

↪ In fossils these structures can be taken down and noted from the time they were supposedly around

↪ These can be compared to species today and scientists can understand how these species have evolved to what they are now
