When a teacher told me to write a short story about personal life relate to the book what does that mean to you.

Does it mean that I have to write a story that like 100% of the book

Or does it mean I can make up some story that not relevant to the book, but I still use like 60% related to the book.

Btw I'm doing the book like a house on fire.

You would write about things you can relate with that’s in the book. So any similarities between you and the book.

It means you write what you learned in life and you find relatable things in the book like how y’all both struggle in math. Do you get it??
