So first we need the formula to find the volume of a sphere-


(4)/(3) * \pi * {r}^(3)

Since were putting it in terms of PI, we leave the PI out of the equation until the end. To find the radius we just divide the diameter by two, 18/2 = 9, we put this in the formula


(4)/(3) * {9}^(3)

Which equals 972PI cubic inches
