Answer:No, I don't think Andrew Jackson was right to act without orders because he had to follow the President's orders, but this did give Spain a scare, and convinced Spanish leaders to nagociate.

it is very difficult to judge people or actions from the perspective of someone that lives in other time of history. At that time, from the American people's point of view perhaps it was a good decision and if you look at that from the native American's point of view it was a terrible decision. Again it is very complex to judge someone or actions that ocurred in the past with the point of view of someone that lives in the present.
