Compare and contrast the roles of the federal government as both promoter and regulator of united states industrial development from 1865 to 1900.

While the US Government generally let the economy regulate itself from 1865-1900, whenever there was conflict that arose, it tended to sie with industries. After the rise of the labor unions and the populist movements,. the government then began to regulate the industry more so that they could protect the citizens of the country.
