What is the difference between an ova and an ovum?

Answer:

Though Ova and Ovum highlight the reproductive system of the female animals, the difference is how the term is used, as Ovum represents the term for the visible reproductive cell in female animals which in this case is the egg. While the ova are produced by the ovaries from the immature egg in the reproductive system of the female animal which is fertilized by the fertile sperm cells at the fallopian tube where provisions continue for the nourishment and the survival of the fertilized sperm cell until further stages of embryo development which continues in the uterus.
