In feudal relations in England people divided into different classes. This period is called the feudal fragmentation. All peasantry is subjected to feudal exploitation: the free population acts in favor of the state, dependent population and serfs peasantry-in favor of the feudal lords, possessing over them judicial and personal power.

The main reason why feudal kings in England share their power is too much land to rule alone.
