The soil along the Nile river is very fertile and great for agriculture. Silt is the fertile soil that is deposited after the Nile flooded. They gre crops such as: grain, fig, barley, and vegetables. The vegetation also helped raise cattle. The ancient eygptians built big ships to trade with other empires at the time. The Ancient Eygptians traded gold, papyrus, and linen.
