The part of the carbon cycle that takes in oxygen and a carbon-containing sugar and releases carbon dioxide.

I belive it would be respiration

Because respiration occurs in animals and plants after the intake of food or oxygen. A series of reaction occur with oxygen to convert glucose(sugar) into carbon dioxide,water, and energy.
