Three things that left the France government in debt before the revolution are the following:
(1) The abuse of power and outrageous and unfair taxes.
(2) France had great debt issues.
(3) Charles de Calonne was a statesman in France who tried to rebuild his homes finance and leadership. This idea soon lead to the French Revolution.
