Explanation:

Okay....the easiest way to answer this would be either elimination or graphing. However, you could also use substitution.

Right now, I'll show how to use it by elimination.

First this is to convert both equations to standard form (x+y=__)

What we'll do for the first one is add 3x to each side. We end up with this:

-3x+y=7

Then subtract 2x from the other one. Ending up with:

-2x+y=-3

Now, we eliminate the y by subtracting.

-3x+y=7

(-) -2x+y=-3

-x =10

x = -10

Now, plug in the x to one of the equations.

y=2(-10)-3

y=-20-3

y=-23

Make sure to check your answer by plugging both into the equations.

X=-10

Y=-23
