Not only Georgia’s supreme court justices are elected in partisan elections. Other places in the United States elect their judges in partisan elections. This is the case of the states of Alabama, New Mexico, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, North Carolina, and Texas. There are other two states that have electoral process that include nonpartisan and partisan participation, the state of Michigan and the state of Ohio.
