The species' habitat is the specific dwelling it is placed in, while niche refers to the interactions between other organisms in the same habitat, the manner in which it obtains food and other abiotic factors that influence it. In its niche, is it more predatorial or more preyed? The niche is the organism's JOB in the habitat.
