there is a cooler with 6 orange sodas, 6 root beers and 6 pepsi's. Terri reaches into the cooler and grabs a pepsi but terri doesn't like pepsi, he wants a root beer. So he puts the pepsi that he grabbed back into the cooler. what is the total probability that Terri will grab another pepsi when he reaches back into the cooler?

HI There!

Answer:

6/18 or 1/3

Explanation:

Total Sodas: 6 + 6 + 6 = 18

We Know: 6 Pepsi's out of all the sodas total.

Ratio: 6 Pepsi's/18 total sodas

Simplified: 1/3

Hope This Helps :)

Hey!

----------------------------------------------

Solution:

6 + 6 + 6 = 18

The probably remains at 6/18 since he put the Pepsi he chose back into the cooler.

The probably of choosing each flavor is 6/18

6/18 = 3/9 = 1/3

----------------------------------------------

Answer:

1/3 is the total probability that Terri will grab another Pepsi when he reaches back into the cooler!

----------------------------------------------

Hope This Helped! Good Luck!
