We can find du/dx

u = 3 -2x

du/dx = -2

Substituting back in for u and du/dx

dy/dx = -6u du/dx

dy/dx = -6 (3-2x) (-2)

dy/dx = 12 (3-2x)

= 36 -24x

6. y = 1/u = u ^ -1

dy/dx = -1 u^-2 du/dx

u = 3x^2 +5

du/dx = 6x

Substituting back in for u and du/dx

dy/dx = - (3x^2+5) ^-2 (6x)

= -6x/ (3x^2+5)^2
