Why don’t earthquakes count as severe wether

weather is above the surface of the earth instead if underneath, like earthquakes

earthquakes occur inside the earth whereas weather occurs within the atmosphere. severe weather and earthquakes can both be classified as natural disasters but they are in no way related to weather.
