Answer

A dislocation is an injury to a joint, the point where two or more bones come together in which end of the bones are forced from their normal positions.

Treatment is by reduction by gently maneuvering to get the bone back to position, immobilization with a splint for weeks, surgery especially during recurring dislocations and rehabilitation

Step-by-step explanation

Dislocation is a painful injury that causes deformation and immobilization of a joint temporary. It is common in shoulders and fingers though it also happens in knees and hips. Symptoms of a dislocated joint are swollen joint, intense pain and immovable joint. Risk factors include sport participation, motor vehicle accidents and susceptibility to falls.
