Where does Whit invite George and Lennie to go? What is George's response?

I read the book a year ago, so I may not be correct.

I believe that Whit invites them out to have a game night of sorts (horseshoes, I believe). George opts to go, which is why we have Chapter four, in which Lennie talks to Slim in the barn.
