An isosceles triangle and a rectangle share a common base. The area of the rectangle is four times the area of the triangle. If the area of the triangle is 94cm squared and it’s height is 8cm, find the dimensions of the rectangle.

Solve by:

94 cm squared x 4 = 376 squared inches

376 divided by 8 inches = 47 inches

check work by :

multiplying

8 by 47 and get 376
