One reason is because some people thought the relationship between the British and the Americans was fair. Another reason is that they feared what would happen if they broke away from the British (they were afraid that their army would beat America’s, or that the American government would collapse because it was so heavily dependent on the British trade system.)

The answer is A: they were satisfied with British rule. Loyalists were basically Englishmen and women that didn't want to break away from Great Britain.
