Which confirms that rectangle ABCD and rectangle EFGH are similar after the similarity transformation of a rotation followed by a dilation?

A)
AD/GH= CD/EH= BC/EF= AB/FG= 4
B)
AD/GH= CD/EH= BC/EF= AB/FG= 2
C)
AD/EH= CD/GH= BC/FG= AB/EF= 2
D)
AD/EH= CD/GH= BC/FG= AB/EF= 1/2

Answer:

C)

AD/EH= CD/GH= BC/FG= AB/EF = 2

Explanation:

Rectangle ABCD and rectangle EFGH are similar

So

AD/EH = 4/2 = 2

CD/GH =8/4 = 2

BC/FG = 4/2 = 2

AB/EF = 8/4 = 2

So

AD/EH = CD/GH = BC/FG = AB/EF = 2

To find if the rectangles are similar divide the side of the larger one by the corresponding side of the smaller one and see if the ratio of each side matches:

C) AD/EH= CD/GH= BC/FG= AB/EF= 2
