Rome and the United States are characterized by being the dominant power in the world, one 2000 years ago and another today. Absolutism is also something in common, the Romans with the Etruscan kings and the Americans with the English. The United States has been characterized as a country open to immigrants, many of the current citizens are descendants of Europeans, Asians and Africans, just as Rome also accepted different peoples. Both nations attach great importance to lawyers, legal systems and judges.
