Is it normal for a recruiter to ask the salary expectations in the first interview? If the salary monthly is beyond how much they can pay, would they proceed to a second and third step and then say they can't pay that much in the end or this is unlikely ? My question is, given the fact that the candidate only accept X would they proceed to a second step if they can't pay ?
