Marble is a metamorphic rock that was originally limestone.

Formation: Under extreme heat and pressure, metamorphism take place, and the parent rock limestone undergoes recrystallization, becoming denser and turned into marble.

Feature: It's texture is usually granular,medium grained with interlocking crystals.
