Weather and climate are atmospheric sciences. Weather refers to the day-to-day status of the atmosphere. It is applicable for a short period of time which can be a day or a few days. Climate refers to the weather pattern of a place determined by taking the average atmospheric conditions over a period of years by using the statistical data. Weather is studied by the meteorology, whereas climatology is the study of climate. Temperature, atmospheric pressure, wind, humidity, precipitation, topography and solar radiation are the elements of weather and climate.

Snow in the Northeast in the month of January is an example of climate. Cyclone, strong winds are some examples of weather.
