Cone: (also called strobilus, in botany )is an organ on plants in the division Pinophyta (conifers). It contains the reproductive structures.

Cone is mass of scales or bracts, usually ovate in shape, containing the reproductive organs of certain nonflowering plants. The cone, a distinguishing feature of pines and other conifers, is also found on all gymnosperms, on some club mosses, and on horsetails.

Male cone produce pollen and female cone produce ovum. It produce seeds after fertilization of ovum by pollen.
