The Supreme Court, through the doctrine of Judicial Review, has the power, authority, and obligation to hear cases that challenge the actions of the legislative and executive branch and to determine on the facts whether or not the legislative or executive branch acted constitutionally or unconstitutionally. This ability gives the Supreme Court the ability to check unconstitutional actions but also gives them the power to check in on the other branches when hearing cases.
