The industrial revolution began in the 1700s and introduced the use of fossil fuels as a main source of energy. Those fossil fuels have and continue to play a dominant role in global energy systems. Because of that those fuels impacted our energy crisis today, humans did not try to find or bothered to find another resource of energy, and now the fossil fuels reserves are ending and the environment had a big impact because of it.
