Assuming you're going off of current data, 6.2% of gross pay is taken out for the Social Security tax.
So, simply take the gross pay 2344/100, which equals 23.44, then multiply by the percentage,6.2, to get 145.32

So, $145.32 is deducted from your gross pay.

There. Now you don't even need to find the answer.
