A thunderstorm is formed from a cumulonimbus cloud which causes change in the wind direction and speed. This difference is air mass at high altitudes causes the wind swirling. As the air rises from earth towards the upward direction , the swirling air is pushed up further. A funnel like structure is formed which starts sucking more air (warm air) from ground and in this way the air funnel tries to get long. As the air funnels reached the ground, it forms a tornado.
