The purpose of the cuban revolution is that the goal of the revolution was to overthrow the authoritarian government, led by Cuban President Fulgencio Batista. Castro and his revolutionaries fought for the freedom they believed was being denied to them due to Batista's government. During this time period, two world super-powers were going head-to-head.May 1, 2016
