find the length of a rectangular lot with a perimeter of 140 m if the length is 6 m more than the width.

the width would be x.
the length would be x+6
there are two of each (since it’s a rectangle)
so x+x+x+6+x+6=140
simplify
x= 32
l= 38
w= 32
