How are the processes of asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction different?

asexual offspring is arise by a single organsim and does not invole infusion of gametes (almost never changes in the number of chromosomes) while sexual reproduction where two morphologically distinct types of specialized reproductive cells called gametes fuse together involving the females "egg" and a males "sperm cell" (contains half the number of chromosomes than a normal cell)
