my own explanation to this question as I see it is that the Brazilian independence movement was achieved with almost no resistance from Portugal ..in short they never resisted ..as the Portugal king ,Dom Pedro had been told by his father that " if independence must come to Brazil he should let it .".so in essence ,it was the only Latin American nation to achieve independence without bloodshed or conflict....
in this question as I see it , it mainly talks about the way Brazilians never resisted to get their independence...
